Patrícia Soley-Beltran holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Edinburgh and a degree in Cultural History from the University of Aberdeen. She is the author of two academic books and numerous scientific publications in indexed journals. As an essayist and disseminator, she has been awarded the Anagrama Essay Prize for ¡Divinas! Models, Power and Lies (2015) and the I María Luz Morales Prize for Journalism for "Política eres tú" (El País Semanal, 2015). As a fiction writer, she has won the 1st Prize 420 Caracters per unes Relacions d'Igualtat of the Catalan Institute for Women and the 1st Prize Puig de Missa XXI Poetry Prize. She worked as a model and actress (1979-1989), presented the innovative music program Pop Stock in its beginnings (TV3, 1983) and the in-depth interview program Terrícoles (Betevé 2016-2017). She regularly collaborates with El País, La Vanguardia, VEIN and Cadena SER.
